BlOg BlOCk!!!

Seriously--All I really want to do is decorate my blog.  I've finally learned how to do the fancy header--Thanks Donna!!  

I have had a serious case of blog block.  I have enjoyed reading other people's blog (especially my sister's new blog) but I have anxiety when logging in-- even to comment.  Is is fear of failure, fear of not being able to update regularly, or perfection?  Do I need to make it funny, serious, insightful (I'm not really insightful) meaningful or inspirational?  Oh, the stress!  I think about silly things like, do I need a sign off, a cute little ending, because that would be really cute!  I DON'T KNOW, BUT IT'S CRAZY!!!!!  I've learned from reading other blogs that I need to look at it as a scrapbook or journal.  OKAY--I'll try!!

DVR--Love it!!  I'm catching up on all the TV programs I have been missing.  I now know what's happening on DAYS (awful, I know), Grey's, and Private Practice.  I now have 6 episode's of Thomas the Tank Engine readily available to show at any time without scratching DVDs--life is great!!!

Random thought---I think school should start at 9:30 every day!  That would be cool.  

Do pirates yell, " irrr"  or "arrr"  I usually have some kind of saying when teaching my phonics phonograms.  (ir, er, ur /  ar like in car)  So I'm teaching and I say,  "When you see the er, ir or ur in a word think irrr like a pirate."  Yep, I was proud of myself and thought it was kinda cute when a child in back blurts out, "I think a pirate says arrrr like in car."  Well, what do you think?!!

It's been a week, and I still have not got over my sinus (head cold) infection.  I still cannot hear well, and I feel as though I am talking through a tube!  I am SO ready to feel better.   

Thanks girls for the good time last Thursday night.  Mamma Mia soundtrack is now on my i-pod!!  It is so good for the soul to get out and be with friends!!

Kaleb's new saying-"no want to"  So I have taken it on as my mantra.  Grading--no want to,  washing laundry--no want to, cleaning house--no want to, going to school--no want to, update blog--no want to.  I then want to be sent to my chair to cry and kick my legs.  Afterwards, I want a red popsicle to make it all better!!  Ah--the life of a 22 month old!!

New Years Resolution #4--Update Blog more often.  CHECK--now I can go have my red popsicle!

Eggs are NOT balls!

Okay-quick funny.

As I was reading and catching up on all my friends, I noticed that the refrigerator was opened. I hear Kaleb yelling "ball!" He comes to the edge of the kitchen looking confused. Yep, you guessed. Broken eggs everywhere!!!

My, oh my. He is so different from Trent. He's fascinated with the refrigerator (that we now know he can open), the toilet, and the trash (still can't find my cell phone.) Toddlers!!!

The fan is now destroyed!! Gotta go and pick up the pieces!!

I'm back to blogging! Sorry for the long absence. Wow, it has been crazy lately! The beginning of school brings new stresses such as schedules, homework, planning, and everything running at a fast pace! I'm not a fast pace sort of girl!! Really, is that news to anyone. As I'm writing this post, I'm swinging in the backyard, cooking out burgers and watching the boys run and play. Life is beautiful.

Trenton loves 1st grade.  He thinks it is so cool that he gets to do homework.  (Hmm, I wonder how long that will last?!)  I have a great class this year-22 six/seven year olds!  The first two weeks are always busy, and now I feel like we can all settle down to a routine.  Good-bye lazy days of summer--Hello hectic school year!  

Kaleb is growing up so fast.  I can't believe how fast he is changing.  He's talking more (yea!) and is really showing his  personality!  He loves to play with his choo-choos and pick on his big brother.  

Trenton and Jay will soon start flag football and we are excited. It is all Trenton can talk about. He wants to practice everyday. College/Professional football was on TV and that is all that was watched this weekend. (that is why I'm outside playing on the computer HA, HA)We are also excited to go and watch the Bobcats play!!!

1602.4 miles

If you ever need to know, it is 1602.4 miles from Childress, Tx to Des Moines, IA and back. Last Friday, the boys and I went to Wichita, KS to visit my mom. We had a wonderful time, RELAXING! There is something about visiting your mother. She cooks, cleans, takes care of the kids, entertains, and lets you sleep late. Thanks Mom for a wonderful time. On Tuesday, Trenton and I went to Des Moines, IA to visit my father who lives there for 7 months out of the year working. Trenton had a wonderful time working with my dad. I think he talked more than he worked, but Grandpa was glad to have him around! While Trent was off "working," my dad taught him how to ride a horse. Talk about giving me a heart attack! It's safe to say, horses to me are only good to bet on! (Not that I do that!) Kaleb stayed with my mom in Wichita. My mother said he was a different child when we're not around. I guess Trenton stresses him out. While in Des Moines, Dad took us to an amusement park. Trent had a blast riding the rides. We went on one ride where Trent said, "Wow, that made my pee pee tingle!" At that point, I had to agree. We traveled back to Wichita on Thursday. Friday was a day of relaxation before traveling home on Saturday. We're all glad to be back in C-town!
